A seal pup hunts in the sea off Scotland. A fisherman returns with a half-empty hold. Your local fish-and-chip shop puts its prices up.
Around our coast, marine creatures must compete with man for the sea's diminishing harvest of fish. Tonight's film in the series that explores world conservation issues approaches the problem of overfishing from the point of view of the baby seal.
Jeff Goodman 's camera takes us underwater with the seals, and captures the wider community of sea otters, puffins, eagles, dolphins and whales. Ian McShane is the narrator, with Rula Lenska as the voice of the seal.
