A Service of Thanksgiving to Celebrate the 60th Birthday of Her Majesty The Queen. HM The Queen
HRH The Duke of Edinburgh HM Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother join other members of the Royal Family and their friends for a service in the historic St George's Chapel, Windsor, to celebrate The Queen's 60th birthday. Tom Fleming describes the scene as the Queen and her family drive through Windsor in horse-drawn carriages and attend this special Service of Thanksgiving.
The service is conducted by the Succentor The Rev Ian Forrester
The lesson is read by HRH The Prince of Wales
A special prayer of thanksgiving is offered by The Rt Rev John Bickersteth, the Bishop of Bath and Wells, Clerk of the Closet. Prayers and final blessing given by The Rt Rev Michael Mann , Dean of Windsor
