Young Eric Mason still believes in heroes, especially if they've been to space and back. But during a turbulent summer vacation spent with his father his illusions are shattered. He gets the chance to meet one of his idols, a reclusive, bitter former astronaut who carries some deadly secrets about what happened to him on the moon.
