This week's show is dedicated to Chris Batchelor and Steve Buckley 's Big Air project. In addition to Batchelor on trumpet and Buckley on reeds, BigAirfeatures Oren Marshall on electric tuba and veterans of the New York downtown-scene pianist Myra Melford and drummer
Jim Black. The music is entitled Ten Tall Tales and was commissioned from Batchelor and Buckley by Jazz On 3. This broadcast premiere was recorded at the Wardrobe in Leeds. Introduced by Jez Nelson.
