Labour at Five - Vote 2002

on BBC One London

Today an estimated 22 million people will go to the polls in local council elections across England. It's also exactly five years since Tony Blair moved into Downing Street for the first time as Prime Minister, offering a suitable opportunity to review his time in office.
As the results begin to trickle in Peter Snow, with the help of state-of-the-art graphics, will interpret the statistics and examine the political winners and losers. Joining presenter David Dimbleby in the studio are Andrew Marr and Professor Tony King. They will help to analyse the results as they come in and also look at the state of the political landscape five years into New Labour.
BBC reporters will be stationed across the country bringing the latest news from key constituencies as well as updating results and testing views on how things have changed politically since 1997.
