The European Cup Semi-final
The second day's events in this important meeting for Britain's men who face stiff competition from five European nations in their attempt to qualify for the Final in Nice next month.
Russia, the holders, and the two best teams qualify for next month's Final, and they will be joined in Nice by France, and two countries from each of the other two semi-finals being held in Leipzig and Turin.
Britain's group also includes Sweden, Poland, Bulgaria and Spain, and qualifying for the Final is a vital part of our preparation for the Olympic Games in Montreal next year.
Two of the track highlights this afternoon will be the 5000m and the 400m relay, with DAVID JENKINS as anchorman.
