View in Radio Times

Songs from {he musical play by A. Vanloo and G. Duval. English Ivrics by Percy Greenbank. Music by Andre. Messager. Produced by Gordon McConnel. Singers, Dennis Noble , Doris Gambell , Helen Clare. Narrator, Christopher Stone. BBC Theatre Chorus. BBC Theatre Orchestra, conducted by Reginald Burston
While Messager's Veronique is probably the best known of his musical plays, he wrote others of which The Little Michut has been generally acclaimed as a master-piece of its kind. First produced at Daly's Theatre by the great George Edwardes in 1905, it ran for 397 performances and delighted packed Edwardian audiences with the felicity of its tuneful score. -Maybe some of the songs from The Little Michus have been all but forgotten today but they are well worth the hearing-such songs as 'Little Sister', 'Miss Nobody from Nowhere ', ' The Song of the Regiment ', and ' This Little Girl and That '.
The original cast included
Adrienne Augarde. Amy Augarde , Mabel Green , Robert Evett , and Huntley Wright.
