Wildlife on One: Red River Safari

on BBC One London

Last of six programmes

This East African river journey begins on the snowy peaks of Mount Kenya where giant heathers and scarlet sun-birds adorn the banks of Kenya's major river system. The Tana flows through jungle, desert, bush and swamp, past rare monkeys, hippos and wildfowl, before the rich colour of this remarkable waterway finally fades into the vastness of the Indian Ocean.
