Tim Page

on BBC Radio 1 England

Tim Page, five-times-wounded Vietnam War photographer, retraces his steps through Vietnam to Cu Chi where, in 1969, his career in dangerous photography ended. Page was one of the main characters in Michael Herr's book on Vietnam,
Dispatches, and was the basis of Dennis Hopper's character in Apocalypse Now. His career was cut short by a landmine that damaged the base of his brain. Still partially paralysed today, Tim Page relives the rock 'n' roll war as he photographs its aftermath.
