Expedition Sahara

on BBC One London

Last December six young people from Frome Grammar School in Somerset - including head girl Lorna Wheeler (above) and four adults set off on an 8,000-mile expedition to the Sahara Desert.
John Earle joined them in Algeria to film and report their adventures. In this, the first of the two films, he travelled with the expedition for 1,000 miles to Djanet where they spent Christmas in the desert.
