Cardiff International Festival of Musical
Theatre
In the first of five programmes from Britain's newest festival, Edward Seckerson looks at two musicals specially revived for this year's inaugural programme: Stephen Sondheim 's cult classic Anyone Can
Whistle, and Jubilee- a little known Cole Porter show featuring a fictional royal family who abandon the throne to live it up with the show-biz set. Originally written to celebrate the silver jubilee of George V, it's been specially updated as a tribute to the Queen's golden celebrations this year.
