Cricket: Third Test

on BBC One London

The Cornhill Insurance Test Series
England v India from The Oval First day
The Oval must be India's favourite Test Match ground in this country. In 1979 Sunil Gavaskar made a personal score of 221 in the second innings out of 429 for 8 when India came within 9 runs of an incredible victory.
In 1971 India won their first Test in England, winning by four wickets. Gavaskar and Viswanath - the only survivors of that match on either side - will be hoping for a repeat as their tour comes to an end.
