An unfortunate accident with the laundry leads Brother Dominic to an even more unfortunate accident whilst sorting eggs - and this in turn leads to a disastrous encounter with an uninvited visitor to the Priory. The visitor is put in Dominic's tender care and, due to a series of further accidents, his stay at the Priory is prolonged beyond anyone's expectations.
