Terry Wogan meets J.R.

on BBC One London

'It's a racy tale set 'neath Texan skies - a tale of the Ewing family. It's a steamy, sordid story of love and hate, greed, venality, illegitimacy, adultery, bribery, corruption and neurofibromatosis... is it any wonder it's so popular? But above and beyond all this petty side-show, straddling the series like a Colossus, is one monumental character: J.R.'
Terry Wogan has been talking about Dallas every morning on Radio 2 since the BBC1 series began. When he hosted the final Friday Night... Saturday Morning last month, his guest was Larry Hagman, who plays J. R. Ewing. The confrontation is repeated in response to many requests.
