Lady Chatterley

on BBC One London

Ken Russell 's four-part adaptation of D H Lawrence 's classic story that scandalised a generation and gave rise to the most celebrated indecency trial of the century.
Starring Joely Richardson Sean Bean
2: Spring comes and with it the familiar post-winter awakening. Nourished by the sun and light, the flowers bloom and the Wragby estate pheasant chicks hatch. Sir Clifford employs a nurse, the capable and trustworthy Mrs Bolton. This leaves Connie free to spend more time in the woods. But dare she fall prey to her own sexual awakenings? Finally, the gamekeeper Mellors leads her to his hut for the long-awaited moment of passion.
The series was filmed on location at Wrotham Park in Hertfordshire. For the spring scenes in this episode, actually shot during May and June,
Russell's art department were obliged to import dozens of specially cultivated daffodils.
