A new film series from Canada starring John Vernon

Gail is young, unmarried - and pregnant. She also has a severe kidney disease and an urgent abortion is necessary to save her life, but because of their religious beliefs her parents have to make an agonising decision.
In another part of the city a sophisticated married woman, who for reasons of her own does not want a child, undergoes a terrifying experience at the hands of an illegal back-street abortionist.
Both cases become a matter for Wojeck's direct concern...
