When the Duke of Burgundy agrees to a marriage between his ward, Isabelle, and the ageing Lord Crawford, the Lord sends his nephew, Quentin Durward , to advance his suit. But Durward soon finds Isabelle has a mind of her own and has no wish to be used as a pawn in the intrigues of Burgundy and the scheming King Louis XI of France. Robert Taylor and Kay Kendall star in this swashbuckling tale of romance and adventure based on the famous novel by Sir Walter Scott.
