Bob received presents from all the family, Jenny, and Mrs. Morgan on his birthday, then took Jenny to lunch and a matinee. He heard from the Airways Corporation that he had got the job and he went to the airport to learn his way around. Gwen, David, and Billy went to Gimlet Green for the weekend. Sally's shop opened after a hectic week of stock-buying and with Mrs. Freeman and Mr. Fulton helping with the final preparations. Later Mr. Fulton took Sally out to celebrate his satisfaction with the proofs of his new book. Dr. and Mrs. Dale continued their travels in Belgium and bought presents in Brussels for all the family.
