An ultra-sophisticated computer picks up a minor defect in a nuclear reactor cooling system and goes into a Red Alert, sealing 14 technicians into the danger area. A life and death battle ensues, between those who think there must be a fault in the computer and those who believe that a nuclear disaster is imminent, in this spine-chilling thriller set in America's atomic nerve-centre.
