What Not to Wear on Holiday

on BBC One London

Trinny Woodall and Susannah Constantine focus their fashion sense on those precious weeks away from the hurly-burly. Spurning perished bikinis and other unflattering garb, the duo travel to Tenerife with mother-of-four Marie in a bid to teach her how to look her best on the beach. They follow that by accompanying Claire to Venice to help her to blend in with stylish Italians. Will their advice be heeded?

Lifestyle: What Not to Wear on Holiday 9.00pm BBC1
Loads of us don't bother buying a new wardrobe of clothes to go on holiday. We just chuck last year's stuff in a bag and then are surprised to discover our bikini is less supportive than it should be, our flip-flops have seen one beach too many and our strappy sundress has mysteriously shrunk. But style mavens Trinny and Susannah are on a mission to help such sartorially challenged women. So in this special edition they teach one holiday-maker how to look her best on a Tenerife beach and another how to blend in with the stylish locals in Venice.
They may say that they're "two middle-aged women who just want to help", but this pair are really the Gordon Ramsays of the fashion world. Like him, they bully their victims unmercifully and, like him, they're always proved right in the end. And that's what makes them so wickedly watchable. (Jane Rackham)
