A discussion following last week's two lectures by Griffith Edwards. If, as he suggested, our society's attitude to drug use and its regulation is neither. consistent nor rational, is a more rational attitude possible? Would it be based on more control, for example, of tobacco and alcohol, or on less control of other substances? Can we distinguish more finely between more dangerous and less dangerous drugs?
