by Leslie Fennell
Produced by Hugh Stewart
This is the story of Jane, a small girl of twelve, who is something of a problem child in so far as she is too grown-up for her age. Jane is the only child of a divorced mother who is living on very restricted means in a poor part of the city. Feeling that her mother has to work too hard to maintain her, Jane decides to play truant and get lost. She gets caught up with a gang of rough children, who become involved with the Law. It is this escapade that is eventually responsible for giving her an increased sense of security in her home life.
