2/6. Ruthie Henshall marks the 80th anniversary of the world premiere of George Gershwin 's Rhapsody in Blue with a tribute to its composer, who died in 1937, aged 38. Gershwin wrote songs that are now fixtures of both the popular and classical musical canons - from / Got
Rhythm and Someone to Watch over Me to Girl Crazy and the opera Porgy and Bess.
In this edition Gershwin is a sensation both on Broadway and in the concert hall.
