Tonight, a live recording of British saxophonist Tim Whitehead 's project Soundtracks, music which recalls and evokes the lives and achievements of his jazz heroes. The members of Whitehead's band, who have been playing together for eight years, include Pete Jacobsen (piano), Arnie Somyi (bass), Dave Barry
(drums) and Philip Sheppard (cello). The programme also includes a profile of multi-instrumentalist
David-Jean Baptiste , and, on the 25th anniversary of the formation of Eastern Rebellion, it talks to piano legend Cedar Walton about the band he formed to rebel against fusion.
