Appeal on behalf of Royal Wanstead School by Hubert Ashton M.C., D.L., M.P. ,
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to Hubert Ashton, Esq., M.P., Royal Wanstead School, Wanstead, London, E.ll
Royal Wanstead School, founded in 1827, is conducted under its own private Act of Parliament and enjoys Royal Patronage. The function of the school is to provide a boarding-school education for fatherless or motherless boys and girls from infancy upwards. Whilst suitable consultation takes place with the Ministry of Education and local education authorities, the school remains entirely independent and is free from Government control. More than four hundred children, ranging in age from two to eighteen years, are being educated and maintained at the school. £ 75,000 is required annually for this work, of which £ 25,000 must be found from voluntary sources.
