Composer of the Week: Weber

2: 1810-11. Weber left the employment of the Duke of Stuttgart under a cloud, having been arrested and charged with embezzlement and stealing the royal silverware. During his imprisonment he was allowed to continue to write music. In the end he and his fatherwere banished from Wurttemburg, and they spent two months in Darmstadt before Carl travelled onto Mannheim to resume his music studies with his teacher and mentor, Abbe Vogler.
