Film 88

on BBC One London

Barry Norman presents his personal review of the week's cinema releases.
Big - the most successful of the current crop of role-reversal films, has a 13-year-old schoolboy whose desire to be big is granted by a fairground wishing machine which transforms him into a 35-year-old Tom Hanks.
The Fruit Machine -
Frank Clarke , who was responsible for Letter to Brezhnev, uses
Liverpool again as the setting for his story of two homosexual teenagers on the run from home. They inadvertently witness a murder, and a story of runaways becomes a thriller as they escape and try to hide from the killer.
