Jim had a 'twitch' and warned Huck that something bad was about to happen. It did. Later when Huck got back to the raft, he found Jim and the Dauphin gone. In his search, Huck finds that the Duke and the Dauphin have sold Jim as their slave to a family called the Phelps.
