Rescued from an attempted suicide, a mysterious and handsome young man is put into a psychiatric hospital. He remembers nothing of a troubled background.
Gradually his psychiatrist realises that she is experiencing visions the young man is conveying in his sleep - she has discovered the first 'sender'. But no one can be prepared for the terror and horror to come.
