Great North Run

Live coverage of the world's largest half marathon where nearly 50,000 runners will attempt to complete the famous 13-mile course, from Newcastle to the coast at South Shields.
Rowing titan Matthew Pinsent will be competing for the third time, while fellow Athens hero Kelly Holmes will be starting the race. Other celebrity runners include Charlie Dimmock , Gordon Ramsay and Richard Dunwoody.
The event begins at 10.10 with the wheelchair race where double winner Tushar Patel will be in action. At 10.15, it's the elite women, featuring two-time winner Sonia O'Sullivan , and Ethiopian legend Berhane Adere.
At 10.40 the elite men - and the rest of the runners - will see Great Manchester Run winner and Olympic 5,000m finalist
Craig Mottram joining the field.
