Denis Shaw looks back again to India, because 1963 was the year in which Britain acclaimed Martha Graham ; and because-years ago at a Calcutta party—Miss Graham had, unknown to herself, to be rescued from ' a social and psychological death.' She was saved by someone missing the sixty-seven hand movements of the Bharat Natyam School of Indian dancing.
