direct from the White Rock Theatre, Hastings the BBC Concert Orchestra led by MARTIN LOVEDAY with principal guest conductor Barry Wordsworth presents a miscellany of light classical music with the emphasis on melody.
Susan Drake is the harp soloist in Handel's Concerto in B flat and a selection of shorter pieces. The programme includes
Aurora, the only orchestral work by William S. Lloyd
Webber, father of Andrew and Julian, as well as music by Mendelssohn, Grieg and others. Plus a rare opportunity to hear* the complete suite My Native Heath by Arthur Ward, part of which should be unexpectedly familiar. The concert is presented by Katie Boyle Producer TIM MCDONALD
