Our minds favour sharp oppositions. Morality divides the world tidily into good and bad. and we take sides. Again we are isolated from the others.' New ideas always challenge old standards, they are immoral. Adjustment to a changing world calls for moral neutrality. Gods create but they also destroy; we too may need to destroy with compassion.
