6: The Political Process .
Introduced by GEOFFREY STUTTARD Extra-Mural Tutor

Trade Unions make an impact on political affairs at three points. First, as pressure groups on Parliament through M.P.s. Second, through their controversial link with the Labour Party. Third, on the Government as an integral part of modern economic planning. How powerful are they as a pressure group? Have we anything to learn from Trade Unions in other countries as regards their relations with the Government?
