Work in Progress

on BBC Radio 3

Edward Bond
The last of this week's programmes in which playwright Edward Bond shares his thoughts on theatre. As well as thinking in terms of ideas and images he questions the nature of drama itself and considers his responsibilities to his audience. His current work is written for young people. He is to write a new play to be performed in a Cambridge school. He considers how his plays might help to equip the young people for whom he writes for the future.
