Old Father Time - a traditional Celebration of New Year's Eve.

Marian Foster and Eric Robson join the revellers live at the Greater Manchester Museum of Science and Industry as we enter 1984-'Heritage Year'. As Big Ben chimes in the New Year Keith Chegwin talks to some of the people of Manchester while Old Father Time arrives by steam train accompanied by sporting celebrities of past and present. Traditional songs come from Besses o' th' Barn Brass Band and The St Winifred's School Choir with special New Year messages from June Whitfield, Sir Peter Scott and The Rt Rev David Sheppard, Bishop of Liverpool.
