Casualty

on BBC One London

The warm friendship developing between Charlie and new clinical nurse specialist Ken is causing personal and professional frictions at Holby City Hospital. Duffy feels Charlie has abandoned her; Ash wants Ken's job.
"Ken sees the danger signs, but he's not the sort of man to let other people's prejudices get him down," says Christopher Guard, who plays Ken. "He's openly gay and he's used to people jumping to conclusions, but he sees that Charlie is in need of some supportive male friendship. He tries to do the right thing and he gets a lot of hostility in return."
Personal problems aside, the staff have a busy week when a man brings his traumatised teenage daughter into casualty after she has experienced a burglary in the family home. But is the truth really that simple?
