Jimi Hendrix

on BBC Two England

Nearly 12 years after his death at the early age of 28, Jimi Hendrix 's influence can still be seen and heard in today's rock music. This film shows Hendrix in performance from his early club days in England right through to Wood-stock; as well as catching him in backstage conversations.
Mick Jagger , Eric Clapton and Pete Townshend are also seen talking about his influence on rock music at that time - and Al Hendrix , Jimi's father, talks about the early days before Jimi achieved international stardom.
