Sir Georg Solti
The Music Director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor of the London Philharmonic yesterday celebrated his 69th birthday. Although rarely heard now as a pianist, in this series SOLTI exchanges the conductor's podium for the keyboard. He talks about how he approaches the Mozart Piano Quartet (K 478) and perfects some of its many intricate details, with Christopher Warren-Green (violin) Rusen Giines (viola)
Raphael Wallfisch (cello)
