Written and narrated by MICHELL RAPER
In September 1912 Eric Trevannion, a rich eccentric young bachelor, died at his flat in Hove from veronal poisoning.
At first it seemed either accidental overdose or suicide; but the Director of Public Prosecutions made a successful application for a second inquest and Mrs Trevannion declared that her son had been murdered. Was it not significant that he had left his considerable fortune to an ex-Naval steward sharing his flat? This programme traces the mysterious, and poignant development of that jury investigation of 60 years ago.
