Four men have managed to retrieve the greater part of the million dollars conned from them by American millionaire Harvey Metcalfe. One of the four - Lord James Brigsley - has yet to come up with his plan to get back the remainder. His attention has been concentrated on persuading the beautiful Anne Summerton to marry him. Successful at last, he discovers to his horror that his future father-in-law is also his prospective victim.
