An excerpt from Conrad Williams 's recent novel, narrated by Robert Bathurst , tells of the concert pianist Philip Morahan , who can no longer play the piano. He can do everything else, but he can't play the piano, as there are too many distractions - his agent, his girlfriend, his protege, his reviews. All overwhelm him in a poignant and comic way.
