Anita Lasker-Wallfisch survived imprisonment in Auschwitz because she played the cello in the camp's orchestra. She married international pianist Peter Wallf isch. Their son Raphael is also a cellist, and of Raphael's children, Benjamin is a composer and conductor, Joanna is a jazz singer and Simon is a baritone and a cellist. They discuss how music is an integral part of family life, with recordings of various members of the family performing music with very particular family ties.
