Ron Hutchinson 's play, which opened last November at the Lyric Theatre, Belfast, is set simultaneously in Belfast of 1991 and 1871. Harry Washburn is a police "scene-of-the-crime" photographer, for whom 20 years of visual carnage has meant increasing mental instability and a compulsion to uncover the truth behind a murder that occurred 120 years before.
