Jean-Francois Revel is one of the most widely read philosophers and critics in France today. His two most controversial books are Pourquoi les philosophes? and La Cabale des devols. Revel thinks that complete silence should be the activity of a French philosopher today, but nevertheless has agreed to record a conversation with Olivier Todd , novelist and critic.
