US Export Regulations
As part of its efforts to prevent sensitive technology reaching the Eastern Bloc, the USA insists that European companies wishing to re-export American equipment must first get permission from the US Government.
David Lomax investigates the claim by Paddy Ashdown , mp and others, that the practical effect of this policy has been to stultify British high technology exports.
