BBC Orchestras: Ulster Orchestra

"The Sopranos" was the title of a series of invitation concerts given by the Ulster Orchestra this summer, featuring Susan Bullock, Virginia Kerr, Ana Rodrigo, Joan Rodgers, Solveig Kringelborn and Brigitte Baileys. Over the coming weeks there will be opportunities to hear those concerts in BBC Orchestras. The series begins today with a programme in which Virginia Kerr sings Hamilton Harty's dreamy Ode to a Nightingale. Introduced by Martin Handley.
