Mr. and Mrs. Wilkes still at home in their bar parlour to Howard Marshall and their other friends.
Presented by Roy Speer and S.E. Reynolds

There is something spontaneous and informal about the Black Dog , but then everybody who frequents it knows everybody else — notably Howard Marshall, the inn's most regular customer, Mr. Wilkes (Cyril Nash) and Mrs. Wilkes (Sunday Wilshin).
Among the celebrities who have accepted the inn's hospitality are Gracie Fields, George Allison, Valerie Hobson, Camera, Inspector Hornleigh (S.J. Warmington), and the real-life ex-Divisional-Inspector Jack Henry, who, in the famous tavern, made his radio debut.
