Composer of the Week: Alexander Glazunov

1: The Teenage Prodigy In 1905, after gaining international recognition, Glazunov was appointed Director of the St Petersburg Conservatory where his pupils included Prokofiev and Shostakovich. His own music achieved a highly individual synthesis of Russian national and western influence.
