5-The Sheffield Repertory
Company in 'THE WIND AND THE RAIN' by Merton Hodge specially adapted for the microphone
The Auriol Lee production of The Wind and the Rain ran from October 18, 1933, until December 31,
1935, at St. Martin's Theatre in London, and thus qualified for one of the West End's longest runs. Since then it has been revived and played in the provinces so often that Merton Hodge 's comedy has become almost a classic. This radio version will be one of the Sheffield Repertory Company's first 'efforts of the new season, and the players should be in particularly good form after a well-earned holiday.
